Winter Fuel Delivery/Service Policy

Please help us, help you this winter! Please find some tips below to make sure your propane appliances run smoothly and continuously throughout the winter.

AUTOMATIC DELIVERY CUSTOMERS (HEAT/HOT WATER) TAKE PREFERENCE OVER ALL DELIVERIES. Consider calling today to go on automatic delivery! Save yourself from running out!

CPP will not send a propane truck out in dangerous weather conditions, up an unplowed driveway or un-sanded, or outside of regular delivery hours.

KEEP DRIVEWAY CLEAR OF SNOW AND ICE

to ensure safe access to your propane tank, please keep snow and ice cleared from your driveway and sand all inclines. A propane delivery truck is approximately two feet wider than a passenger car and much taller. Keep branches and trees trimmed. If our delivery person is unable to navigate your driveway, we will not be able to fill your tank, which could result in a special delivery fee.

KEEP GAS APPLIANCE VENTS CLEAR OF SNOW AND ICE

to avoid gas fumes from becoming trapped in your home, please make sure that your chimney and rooftop, as well as all gas appliances vented through the roof or walls remain clear of snow and ice. Should snow or ice cover a vent, the appliance may stop operating.

MARK LOCATION OF UNDERGROUND TANKS

please mark the location of your underground tank and provide a clear pathway. This will aid our efforts to keep you supplied with gas all winter.

WILL CALL CUSTOMERS

we suggest that you call when your gauge reads 40%. You must give us (7-10 business days) notice so that we may fit you in the delivery schedule. This leaves you plenty in reserve and will easily accommodate our minimum delivery requirement of 50 gallons.

RUN OUTS

if you run out of propane a leak check is required (state code for any gas interruption) and an $120 fee. If you run out of propane after hours or during bad weather, we will deliver 20 gallons of propane by van or 4-wheel drive vehicle for an $180/hr (min. 2 hours) emergency fee.

When a customer calls for same day delivery, (during normal business hours) it almost always requires that we disrupt our usual delivery schedule. Customers who call and require same day delivery must be assessed a minimum $150 per hour port to port fee because it makes us less efficient if we have to make deliveries in areas that we are not planning to go that day.

If driver arrives at your house for a delivery and it is impossible to make due to snow, ice, etc. there will be a $25.00 delivery/trip fee added to your account.

Any driveway not salted, sanded, plowed will be consider unsafe to drive on. Our propane trucks are not 4 wheel drive vehicles (our vehicles are much different than the UPS trucks). We are carrying hazardous material.

If there is no clear path to the tank there will be an additional $25 fee added to your delivery ticket.

For customers with UG Tanks – please mark your tanks with a pole or a stake. If the tank is not marked the driver will mark it and add a $15 fee for the pole/stake.

Auto Delivery Customers – please make sure your driveways are cleared and there is a path to tank, if we cannot deliver for these reasons and you run out of gas CPP will not be held responsible for this.

Will Call Customers – Partial fills in the winter will not be accepted. Payment arrangements can be made for the deliveries, just contact the office.

CPP is not responsible for any problems caused by out of gas situations.
