Our Commitment to You During Connecticut Winters

Connecticut winters can move fast — a mild November can turn into a brutal December overnight. CPP prepares year-round to ensure our customers have propane when they need it most. Here's how our winter delivery operations work.

1

Automatic Delivery Customers Come First

During peak demand or storm periods, our automatic delivery customers receive priority. We monitor their usage and deliver proactively — they don't need to call us during a storm.

2

600,000 Gallon On-Site Storage Across Three Facilities

CPP operates 600,000 gallons of on-site propane storage across our Marlborough, Oxford, and Waterbury facilities. This storage buffer allows us to maintain deliveries even when supply chains tighten during severe winter weather.

3

Emergency Line — 24/7

If you run low unexpectedly during a winter storm, call our emergency line immediately. We prioritize emergency deliveries and will do everything possible to get propane to you quickly.

4

Will-Call Customers — Plan Ahead

If you're on will-call delivery, we strongly recommend ordering before your tank drops below 30% heading into winter. Don't wait until you're at 10% during a cold snap — delivery windows may extend during peak periods.

5

Weather-Related Delays

During major snow or ice storms, delivery routes may be delayed for driver safety. We communicate proactively when delays occur and work to reschedule as quickly as conditions allow.

The Best Way to Avoid Winter Stress: Automatic Delivery

Automatic delivery customers never worry about winter runs. Call us today to switch from will-call to automatic.
